Blix Speaks out about Iran

Western countries need to understand that using a "stick", in the form of sanctions, to beat Iran into submission is perceived only as a humiliation in Iran.

This was announced in Geneva by the former IAEA chief Hans Blix, who participated in a joint conference between the Luxembourg Forum and the Geneva Centre for Security Policy, dedicated to nuclear disarmament.

Blix said spoke about a meeting of the six international mediators in Baghdad where talks were held about prohibiting Iran access to the purchase of spare parts for civilian aircraft.

He stated that he was doubtful that it would be enough of an incentive.
