NORTH KOREA 'NUCLEAR MISSILES CAN STRIKE AMERICAN CITIES BY THIS DATE'

North Korea will be capable of striking US cities with nuclear missiles incredibly soon, according to a Russian general.

Retired senior top brass Viktor Yesin said an attack by the regime that would devastate entire swathes of the country could happen in less than five years.

And he warned an attack by Kim Jong-un on military bases in the Pacific is possible in under three years.

Speaking at 10th Anniversary Conference of the International Luxembourg Forum on Preventing Nuclear Catastrophe in Paris yesterday, he said: “At the turn of 2018-2020 the DPRK (Democratic People’s Republic of Korea) will be able to solve the task of striking American bases in the Asia-Pacific region.

“Pyongyang will need some four to five years to solve the task of striking American cities, which is unacceptable for the US.”

Yesin estimated North Korea currently has between 20 and 30 nuclear bombs that are primed and ready to go.

But worryingly, he said the country can make up to seven nuclear weapons a year, with production speed potentially increasing “up to 10.”

“The first step on this path is the implementation of the Russian-Chinese initiative stipulating the halt of [both] missile and nuclear tests in the DPRK and the holding of US-South Korean drills,” he added.

But the United States has refused to take part in the war-prevention plan and continued to conduct military drills.

Just hours ago, two US bombers took part in a “show of force” over the Peninsula – despite Kim’s threats to shoot any planes out of the sky.
