During his diplomatic career Igor S. Ivanov many times attended the UN General Assembly and participated in other international conferences. He also co-chaired the Dayton peace talks on Bosnia.
In parallel with his career as a statesman he is also actively involved in academic and research activities. Igor S. Ivanov has published a number of studies and articles on the history of Russian foreign affairs and foreign policy. His works were also published in the US, Germany, China, Japan and other countries. He regularly attends political and scientific gatherings both in Russia and abroad to speak on the most topical international issues.
He is Professor and has PhD in history. Igor S. Ivanov has a diplomatic rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary. He was awarded with Russian and foreign orders and medals. Married with a daughter.
